Position Summary:
The PT Execution Shift Lead is responsible for coordinating the execution of each Performance Test scenario, directing the work of the Performance Test Execution team, during their shift.
•Ensuring all team members properly fulfill their roles
•Reviewing the results of tests
•Leading the triage of issues, escalating where necessary
Responsibilities:
•Accountable for daily (hour to hour) test review and test execution
•Provide inputs into changes to the daily and weekly testing schedule
•Log, track & escalate issues
•Coordinate shift handover / take over
•Own coordination of environment housekeeping (i.e. PT journal, tracking backup & restore, versions deployed in each environment, test case generation, etc)
Required Qualifications:
•5+ years of IS/IT experience, including experience in Performance Testing. BS or equivalent in computer science or engineering.
•Experience with Unix commands and shell scripting.
•Experience with HP Load runner or similar load testing tools.
•Knowledge of Oracle technologies Oracle 11g and PL/SQL (Understanding of Query plans, AWR Reports, etc.)
•Understanding of performance testing concepts (CPU Utilization, Response time, network latency, think time, etc.).
•Good data collection/analysis/compilation/data comparison/data presentation skills.
•Knowledge of Java/J2EE technologies.
•Understanding of any version management tool like SVN, VSS etc.
•Ability to learn new technical concepts quickly
•Ability to apply technical knowledge and experiences to facilitate the resolution of various technical issues. Does not have to solve them alone, but must be able to lead a group of SMEs from different disciplines in order to arrive at a solution

Preferred Qualifications
•Operational experience with any of the following: UNIX, Oracle, Networking or Middleware, Batch processing, Informatica, Network architecture, Storage architecture, AIX, Weblogic
•Understanding of and experience in leading development efforts on the J2EE platform
